Hong Kong experienced a significant influx of visitors during the National Day holiday, with arrival numbers showing a notable increase compared to the previous year.

According to statistics released by the Immigration Department, a total of over 993,000 passenger trips were recorded passing through all control points on October 1.
The data revealed that more than 558,000 of these trips were arrivals into the city, while over 435,000 were departures.
A key highlight of the arrivals was the number of mainland Chinese visitors, which surpassed 232,000. This figure represents an increase of more than 11,000 mainland travelers compared to the same National Day holiday in the previous year, which saw over 221,000 mainland visitor arrivals with a total of 565,000 people entering Hong Kong.
On the departure side, Hong Kong residents were the largest group traveling abroad, with over 243,000 passenger trips recorded leaving the city.
The Lo Wu control point emerged as the busiest crossing for overall arrivals, processing 104,211 incoming passengers.
However, for mainland visitor arrivals specifically, the West Kowloon Station, the terminus for the High-Speed Rail, was the most popular port of entry, welcoming 57,924 travelers.
