Tickets will go on sale tonight, following the conclusion of the regular Mark Six draw at 9.30pm.
They will be available at off-course betting branches, through telephone betting services, including the 1886 automated system, and on digital platforms.
Sales will continue until 9.15pm on October 6 (Tue), just before the live draw begins.
Since its inception in 1985, the Mid-Autumn Snowball has been held 39 times.
Historical data reveals that the numbers 7 and 15 have been the luckiest, each appearing 10 times in past draws, followed by 12 and 40, which have shown up nine times each.
The numbers 5, 9, 28, and 43 have also been frequent, each drawn eight times, making them popular choices among players.
Notably, this year’s draw falls on October 6, a date that has hosted the Mid-Autumn Snowball twice before, in 1987 and 1998. On both occasions, the numbers 21 and 40 were among the winners, adding a layer of intrigue for those picking their numbers.
To accommodate the excitement surrounding the event, the Jockey Club has adjusted its schedule, canceling regular draws originally planned for October 2 and 4.
This change provides extra time for the public to purchase tickets for the highly anticipated snowball draw, ensuring more opportunities to join in the festive lottery tradition.
