Hong Kong welcomed nearly 213,000 mainland visitors on Saturday, marking the city's second-highest single-day arrival figure since the Labor Day golden week peak of 267,000 on May 2.
According to Immigration Department data, approximately 319,000 Hong Kong residents crossed the border northbound on the same day – a marginal 1 percent decrease (3,580 trips) compared to the previous week.
Mainland tourist arrivals reached 212,704, reflecting a 4 percent increase from last week's 204,000 visitors and setting a new three-month high since the May 2 record.
The Lo Wu border crossing remained the busiest checkpoint with around 120,000 outbound trips, followed by Lok Ma Chau with approximately 100,000 crossings.
The northbound-southbound travel gap narrowed to 177,000 trips, down 6 percent from the previous Saturday's 189,000 difference.
