Turtle falls to death in Wong Tai Sin estate

In a tragic incident this Thursday morning, a turtle died after falling from a height in the Chuk Yuen South Estate, Wong Tai Sin. 

The incident occurred at approximately 11.33am today near Kwai Yuen House, where the turtle, identified as a red-eared slider, was found dead upon landing in an open area.

Shocked pedestrians who discovered the turtle's shattered remains—its shell broken and body mangled from the impact—immediately alerted the police.

Officers who arrived at the scene confirmed the reptile's death upon inspection.

Authorities are currently seeking the turtle's owner to investigate the circumstances of how and why the turtle fell from the residential building. 

The investigation is ongoing.
