The incident occurred at around 10pm last night. According to police, the bus hit the elderly pedestrian, identified as Ng, who was reportedly crossing Choi Wan Road where road crossing facilities were absent. The impact threw him about 10 meters before he fell unconscious.
Emergency responders rushed to the scene and administered first aid before rushing Ng to United Christian Hospital. He was pronounced dead at around 11pm after failed resuscitation attempts.
