The MTR Tuen Ma Line will operate with increased frequency, and two special bus routes will be provided to facilitate cross-border spectators as Taiwanese band MayDay is set to perform at Kai Tak Sports Park starting Friday (Apr 9).
The Transport Department announced on Wednesday special traffic and transport measures for the concerts on May 9 to 11 and 13 to ensure smooth travel for attendees.
Cross-boundary travelers heading to Shenzhen via Lo Wu Station should note that the last train departs Sung Wong Toi Station at 10.59pm and Kai Tak Station at 11.01pm, the department said.
Spectators can transfer to bus routes 276B or N73 to Lok Ma Chau afterwards, then board the cross-boundary shuttle bus to Huanggang Port.
Eleven special bus routes will operate from the Sung Wong Toi Road Pick-up/Drop-off Area, including two dedicated routes for travelers to Lok Ma Chau Public Transport Interchange and to the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Port and the airport.
For direct return to mainland China, cross-boundary coaches will be available post-concert, but tickets must be purchased in advance through operators Eternal East Bus and CTG Bus.
In addition, taxi pick-up and drop-off services will be available at Sung Wong Toi Road from 2pm to midnight, though longer waits are expected during peak dispersal.
The department also noted that no private parking spaces are available on-site.
