The Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau (CSTB) announced on Thursday that Adrain Cheng Chi-kong has been reappointed as the chairman of the new Mega Arts and Cultural Events (ACE) Committee for a two-year term.
Cheng, founder of the K11 Art Foundation, will lead the new committee until January 2027.
The department also announced the new members of the committee, including the artist Alex Fong Lik-sun’s brother William Fong Yuen-ming, Lai Sun Group Executive President Evelyn Lam-ho-yi, Lo Bing-chung and Joyce Tam Joy-yee.
The CSTB spokesman noted that the reappointed and newly appointed members are all leaders from the arts, culture, and related sectors, expressing optimism that their insights will help drive the organization of mega-events in the city.
The Mega ACE Fund was established in April 2023 with the goal of supporting international and large-scale arts and cultural events in the city while also establishing Hong Kong as an East-meets-West cultural exchange center.
