Fans of Matsuya can finally enjoy their favorite dishes in Hong Kong starting next Sunday.

Invest Hong Kong (InvestHK) announced today that the first store in Jordan of the famous Japanese Gyumeshi (beef on rice) chain "Matsuya" will be officially opened on August 11 (Sun).
The store is located at Chuang's London Plaza in Jordan and will have an area of over 3,000 square feet and a total of 45 seats.
Associate Director-General of Investment Promotion for InvestHK Jimmy Chang Hok-lai welcomed the establishment of "Matsuya" in Hong Kong.
He said that Hong Kong is the gourmet capital of Asia, and the choice of "Matsuya" to locate in Hong Kong confirms their support and confidence in the local food market.
Hamano Jun, Managing Director of Matsuya Foods Hong Kong Co. Limited, said that the Matsuya Hong Kong office will support the operation of Hong Kong directly-operated stores, including logistics duties such as purchasing, product development, store development, and hiring additional staff.
It also hopes to open a second store in Hong Kong within the year.
Matsuya is a Japanese Gyumeshi chain restaurant that offers delicious and affordable Japanese dining to customers. Since its establishment in Tokyo in 1966, the brand has expanded to 1,265 stores across Japan and 18 stores overseas. Its menu features signature dishes, including Gyumeshi, set meals and curry.
