The Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) announced Thursday that a drone show will be held on May 11 at Victoria Harbour, and the next pyrotechnic show will light up the sky on June 15.
The Board held its first pyrotechnic show yesterday (May 1) at Tsim Sha Tsui, attracting many locals and tourists who enjoyed the view.
HKTB said a breathtaking drone performance, which will last around 10 minutes, will take place at 8 pm on May 11 over Victoria Harbour.
The Board recommends the Wan Chai Harbourfront area, including the Water Sports and Recreation Precinct and the HarbourChill area, as the best vantage point.
Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade, including the Avenue of Stars, and North Point East Coast Park Precinct were also touted as perfect locations for the viewing.
The vantage points will be equipped with sound systems for viewers to be fully mesmerized by the performance.
In addition, according to the HKTB website, the second dazzling marine pyrotechnic display will be held at 8 pm on June 15, with the launch site switched to the Wan Chai harbourfront area. The show will last for about 10 minutes.
The second drone show is tentatively scheduled for June 10, the day of the Dragon Boat Festival. It will also be staged at the Wan Chai Promenade venue at 8 pm.
