Marine police have begun an investigation after finding a dead body in the waters of Chek Lap Kok Friday morning.

Shortly before 11 am this morning, a man was found floating on the waters opposite Cargo Terminal One of the Asia Airfreight Terminal on Chun Ping Road, in Chek Lap Kok.
Firefighters were called to the scene. The male victim was rescued, but after examination, he was confirmed dead at the scene.
The cause of death is pending a forensic autopsy.
The police are investigating his identity and the reason he fell into the sea.
It is reported that the deceased man was about 30 to 40 years old and was wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, and white sneakers.
