Four more train services traveling between West Kowloon and Shenzhen will be regularized starting next Saturday, as the MTR Corp said there will be over 200 High Speed Rail trains in service every day during the Easter and Ching Ming holidays.
The railway operator announced on Wednesday that starting from April 6, the High Speed Rail (Hong Kong Section) will operate two additional pairs of regular trains to Shenzhen every Saturday to cater to the travel demand.
The newly added regular trains include one pair running between Hong Kong West Kowloon and Futian stations, and one pair running from Hong Kong West Kowloon to Shenzhenbei station that will stop by Futian station.
The MTRC also said more trains between Hong Kong West Kowloon and Futian stations will operate from March 28 to April 6. During this period, a total of 12 to 14 trains for Shenzhen will be added every day, bringing the total daily train service to more than 100 pairs.
Meanwhile, the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Authority announced that private vehicles will not be charged between April 4 to 6 during the Ching Ming holiday.
It also expects the bridge usage from Hong Kong to Zhuhai or Macau will peak on March 29 between 9 am and 3 pm, followed by another peak on April 6 between 3 pm to 12 am with traffic from Zhuhai to Hong Kong.
