The "Francophonie Festival" is an annual event that aims to promote the French language and Francophone cultures.
It is organized by the Consulates General of France, Belgium, and Switzerland, the Quebec Office, and the Alliance Française de Hong Kong et Macao.
This year's event will last from March 6 to March 24, including music shows, exhibitions, readings, concerts, conferences, and soccer competitions. It will also celebrate sporting values and Olympism as the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games are approaching.
A French-speaking soccer competition will be held on March 17, bringing together all Hong Kong learners of French -- children, teenagers, and adults.
The Festival will be concluded on March 24 with the French Speech Competition organized by the Association Francais Langue Etrangere (AFLE).
Both French speakers and non-French speakers are welcome to join the event.
