The MTR Corporation said its East Rail Line services were disrupted this morning as smoke was seen rising from the bottom of a train.

The train arrived around 9 am at Kowloon Tong Station, heading towards Admiralty and was found to be smoking from the underside.
The train captain notified the control center and evacuated all passengers from the train.
The firefighters suspected that the smoke was coming from the braking system.
The rail giant has made arrangements for the train to undergo further inspection at Mong Kok East Station.
East Rail Line services have gradually resumed.
A separate incident on the same train saw a female passenger feeling unwell at Mong Kok East Station and was sent to hospital.
