The top trio of the Hong Kong Bar Association will see their tenure extended for one more year as no other candidates emerge to take on them.
Chairman Victor Dawes and two vice-chairmen, Jose Antonio Maurellet and Derek Chan Ching-lung, were returned uncontested in the election of the Bar Council.
The three senior counsels were nominated by the former secretary for justice Rimsky Yuen Kwok-Keung, ex-chairman of the Association Edward Chan King-sang, and senior counsel Graham Harris.
It was Dawes' third term as the chairman of the Association.
Incumbent Eugene Yim Wing-tsang and Martin Wong Wing-hoi were both nominated to stay as the secretary and treasurer, and the deputy position.
Apart from the five posts, the Council comprises 20 members.
