A 43-year-old man was arrested by police after a bamboo pole fell from the scaffolding surrounding a Mong Kok building and struck a four-year-old boy on the shoulder.

The incident occurred around 1pm Saturday when the kid was walking along Nelson Street in Mong Kok just outside Far East Consortium Mongkok Building.
A bamboo pole from the scaffolding above suddenly fell and hit the kid's shoulder. Family members of the kid immediately reported to the police, and the kid was sent to Kwong Wah Hospital by ambulance.
After preliminary investigations, police arrested a 43-year-old man surnamed Yeung. Investigations are ongoing.
