Anthony Bux resigns as Kwun Tong District Councillor

Anthony Bux announced his resignation as the Kwun Tong District Councillor, effective on June 1, due to his health condition. 

He issued a statement on social media and said it has been a tough decision. 

He explained that he was stranded in the UK and his scheduled surgery has been postponed from February to May due to the pandemic. He said his illness will require extended treatment and recovery, which will highly affect his ability to perform councillor duties. 

Bux wished to focus on recovery and has no choice but to step down from the position of councillor. 

Bux said he was honored to be a councillor and to serve the residents of Richland Gardens. He also added that he grew up here and he will never forget the times he spent here.
