Another man in ICU following vaccination

A 51-year-old diabetic man suffered a heart attack on Monday after taking the Sinovac vaccine, Department of Health announced this evening. 

The man with a history of high blood pressure and cholesterol was vaccinated at Sha Tin’a Yuen Wo Road Sports Centre vaccination center last Saturday.

On the day of vaccination he developed shortness of breath with cough and sputum.

He is now in critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit of Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Jordan.

The expert panel will review his case to study the causal relationship between his condition and the vaccine.
