Medical Conscience and Hong Kong Quality and Talent Migrants Association jointly organized a blood donation event today.
More than 50 donors have participated in the event including doctors, dentists, and nurses.
Medical Conscience’s David Lam Tzit-yuen, who donated blood during the event, urged the public to participate in blood donation.
Lee Cheuk-kwong, Chief Executive of Hong Kong Red Cross Blood Transfusion Service, said the number of blood donation events at schools, public and private institutions has decreased due to the pandemic.
He expects the demand for blood will increase as the Hospital Authority will gradually resume non-emergency services.
