Youth spared jail for ticket fraud

A man, 24, who had pleaded guilty to two counts of fraud, has been ordered by the Eastern Magistrates' Courts to perform 160 hours of community service today.

In April 2018, he claimed in a post on online forum LIHKG that he had tickets for Dayo Wong Tze-wah's farewell stand-up comedy show to sell. But he disappeared after collecting HK$3,100 through WeChat Pay and bank transfer from three people.

The money had been returned to the three people.
