Hong Kong government to boost sustainable finance, says Joseph Chan

The Hong Kong government will continue to promote sustainable finance and attract more capital to invest in sustainable projects in the city, Mainland China, and across Asia, said Joseph Chan Ho-lim, the Under Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury.

Chan highlighted that since 2019, the Hong Kong government has issued nearly US$28 billion (HK$218.4 billion) of green bonds, covering various tenors and currencies.
