The 858 square foot boutique's décor features Breitling’s reputed design concept – a contemporary urban interpretation of an industrial loft that offers customers a relaxed yet sophisticated ambiance to explore the collections.
This décor style has been adopted in existing boutiques to maintain a consistent design concept for Breitling. Besides the classic interior, Augmented Reality elements have been introduced. The Top Time Limited Edition is also available at the new boutique opening.
By endorsing interactive AR filters, this new boutique expands Breitling’s Air universe to a whole different level. When the customer walks in and points their smartphone camera at the brick wall with its Curtiss Warhawk graffiti, the AR trigger will be activated and an animated Curtiss Warhawk filter will appear on the user’s screen. The user can either save the video or photo or share it on social media platforms.
As most die-hard Breitling fans know, at the time that the famed P-40 Warhawk fighter plane was being built between 1938 and 1944, Breitling’s Huit Aviation Department was also making history with its ground-breaking onboard instruments for the RAF and other air forces. This filter’s design is designed to pay tribute to Breitling’s formidable aviation watch-making reputation in a futuristic fashion.
Breitling’s Chief Executive Georges Kern, said Hong Kong has been an increasingly important market for the brand. The boutique in Central, achieves Breitling's goal of coming close to the customer base.
Dennis Yeung, Managing Director of Oriental Watch Holdings says, Breitling's strategies of intertwining both traditional craftsmanship and innovation into its products go hand in hand with the Oriental Watch Company’s management philosophy.
A selected blend of materials, colors, textures, and patterns contributes to the contemporary, comfortable urban loft vibe in the boutique. The mid-twentieth-century industrial elements including a brick wall adorned with an illuminated Breitling logo, the American walnut wooden floor, the vintage strap showcase cabinet, brass and metal design accents and rich leathers create a consistent modern-retro ambiance bringing to life the ultra-cool world of Breitling.
Exquisite timepieces on display include the Superocean Heritage ’57 Capsule Collection representing the sea universe for all the passionate surfers and sports lovers; the Navitimer Automatic 35 in the Air universe designed for the cosmopolitan woman, and last but not least, the one-of-a-kind Avenger Automatic GMT 45 Night Mission Limited Edition in Breitling’s Land universe, designed especially for people of action, purpose, and style.
To celebrate the opening of the boutique, the Top Time Deus Limited Edition (HK$37,000) will be available in the new boutique.
Co-designed with Australian lifestyle brand Deus Ex Machina, the custom motorcycle and surf outfitter, the Top Time Deus is a nod to Breitling’s original 1960s watch and a true tribute to the nomad spirit.
Breitling is now also the official timekeeper of the Deus Swank Rally – the epic motorcycle championship celebrating vintage bikes in diverse locations around the world, including Italy, France, Australia, and Bali. But the Top Time Deus Limited Edition isn’t just for bikers, as Breitling CEO Kern points out.
“Bikers, boarders, surfers, digital nomads … this is a timepiece for dynamic people of action, purpose, and style. Our versatile Top Time Deus celebrates having the freedom to explore the world your way, at your pace.”
