China's goods imports and exports increased by 1.9 percent on year to 32.16 trillion yuan (US$5 trillion) in 2020, a record high, official data showed Thursday, state media Xinhua reports.

Exports grew by 4 percent, while imports fell by 0.7 percent, according to the General Administration of Customs. In December alone, exports increased by by 10.9 percent on year in yuan terms.
