Queen of Jpop, Ayumi Hamasaki, has stepped in to dispel the rumours that she had children with Tesla CEO Elon Musk.
The speculation ignited after American influencer Ashley St. Clair claimed on social media that she shares a son with Musk, stating that the CEO has revealed having several children around the world, including one with a renowned Japanese pop star.
The 46-year-old pop icon quickly became the center of attention, as she has never disclosed the identity of her two children. However, she took to social media on Monday night (June 2) to firmly quash the rumors.
“I have remained silent but it’s time to speak up. The father of my children is not Elon Musk” she wrote on her Instagram story.
The beloved singer acknowledged that people might draw connections with limited evidence, humorously noting that her mother also mistook her for the protagonist in this story.
However, she firmly stated, “Wrong is wrong, setting aside my image, I cannot accept if my children see this online. Therefore, I must deny the rumours."
Following her divorces from Australian model Manuel Schwarz and American doctor Tyson Bodkin, Hamasaki reportedly gave birth to two sons in 2019 and 2021, respectively, without disclosing their father.
Amid the rumours, the J-Pop legend is set to return with her “ayumi hamasaki ASIA TOUR 2025: I am ayu Episode 2,” with the Hong Kong stop taking place on June 14 at the AsiaWorld-Expo
