OpenAI burned US$3.7 billion in first quarter of 2026, The Information reports

OpenAI burned through US$3.7 billion (HK$28.86 billion) in the first quarter of 2026, more than half its US$5.7 billion in revenue, The Information reported on Tuesday, citing documents
the company shared with shareholders.

Earlier this month, OpenAI said it had confidentially filed for a U.S. IPO that ​a source said could come as early as September and value the company at up to US$1 trillion.
