The Hong Kong Observatory warned on Saturday that the lowest temperature will drop to 13 degrees tomorrow (Feb 8) morning due to a strengthening northeast monsoon, which is expected to drive temperatures down by as much as 10 degrees overnight.
According to the forecast, the minimum temperature tomorrow morning will be about 13 degrees in the urban areas, and a couple of degrees lower in the New Territories.
The weather will get warmer during the day, with dry sunny periods and a maximum temperature of around 19 degrees. Northeasterly winds will be moderate to fresh, occasionally becoming strong offshore and on high ground.
With the monsoon moderating slightly, temperatures will rise over southern China midweek next week. A fresh easterly airstream is expected to affect the coast of Guangdong in the latter part of next week.
