A man in his twenties has died after falling from a height at Polytechnic University on Thursday.
Police received a report from a campus security guard at around 1am that a man was found unconscious on a building platform at the university on Chatham Road South, suspected to have fallen.
Paramedics arrived and rushed the unconscious man to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
A preliminary investigation indicates he fell from a platform at the location. Police found no suicide note at the scene. The cause of death is pending a post-mortem examination.
The area outside the university's School of Construction and Environment has been cordoned off for investigation. A pair of slippers and bloodstains were visible on the ground.
