Tesla driver dies after losing consciousness at wheel in Sham Shui Po

A male Tesla driver died after apparently losing consciousness while driving in Sham Shui Po on Monday night, causing the car to crash into railings.

The incident occurred around 8pm at the junction of Pei Ho Street and Yu Chau Street. The unconscious driver was taken to Caritas Medical Centre and pronounced dead at 9pm.

The car hit railings separating the road from a pedestrian zone. Firefighters used an emergency plug and wheel chocks to secure the electric vehicle.

Police are investigating.
