The organization announced on Friday that it will hold a press conference this Sunday (June 29) to formally disclose details of its disbandment.
In a brief statement, the LSD revealed that while 2026 would have marked its 20th anniversary, "we will not survive to see that day and will declare dissolution."
The group did not specify reasons for the decision but promised to provide further explanations during the upcoming media briefing.

Founded in 2006, the LSD has been one of Hong Kong's most vocal activist organizations, known for its radical protest tactics and staunch advocacy for democratic reforms.
The group's dissolution comes amid a transformed political landscape in Hong Kong following the implementation of the national security law in 2020.
