A newly established Gleneagles MediCentre was inaugurated on Wednesday (Oct 8) to provide a comprehensive range of ambulatory services, and it will offer 1,000 complimentary faecal occult blood tests to promote early screening for colorectal cancer.
In collaboration with the Hong Kong Society of Digestive Oncology, the center seeks to encourage the public to engage in proactive bowel health management through these free blood tests, which will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
The brand-new center, located in Admiralty, also leverages AI and augmented reality (AR) to enhance patient journey -- with services such as oncology outpatient consultation and chemotherapy, endoscopy, minor surgeries, plastic surgery and medical aesthetics -- to deliver efficient and smart healthcare experiences.
Notable features included AR navigation to allow patients to locate consultation rooms, diagnostic or treatment areas on their mobile phones; and the use of a generative AI-powered voice-to-text tool which captures clinician-patient conversations and simultaneously generates them into clinical notes.
The system supports 34 languages, enabling doctors to focus on clinical care and patient communication.
