South Korean supergroup BTS reunited for a live broadcast on Tuesday (July 1), marking their first group activity in three years after all seven members completed their military service.
During the livestream, they shared updates on their lives, military experiences, and – most notably – announced plans for a new group album to be released in spring 2025, followed by a global tour.
The livestream attracted 7.3 million real-time viewers within just 30 minutes, sparking global excitement.
The members revealed they plan to begin album preparations together starting in July, before heading to the U.S. to work on production and tour arrangements.
"It's a group album, so it'll reflect all our voices," the members said. "We're returning to our roots for this one."
Additionally, BTS will release two live albums, including "Permission to Dance on Stage - Live" on July 18 and "Permission to Dance on Stage - Seoul" on July 28.
The two releases mark the group's first live albums, featuring iconic tracks from their 2021 to 2022 tour, complete with raw performances and crowd cheers.
It is unknown whether the supergroup will perform at the annual Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA), which is set to return to Hong Kong on November 28 and 29 at Kai Tak Stadium.
