HSBC (0005) is set to host the Global Investment Summit 2025 in Hong Kong next week.
Taking place from March 25 to 27, the summit will feature a lineup of speakers, including Chief Executive John Lee Ka-chiu, former president of the European Central Bank Mario Draghi and Alibaba (9988) chairman Joseph Tsai Chung-Hsin.
With the theme of new networks connecting the global economy, the event's sessions will focus on China's role in the world economic landscape.
China-centric sessions will explore topics such as the role of investment in China's economic future, where China Asset Management chief executive Li Yimei will talk with Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing (0388) CEO Bonnie Chan Yi-ting and Hong Kong Investment Corporation CEO Clara Chan Ka-chai.
Yum China (9987) CEO Joey Wat Chui-yung, Trip.com (9961) CEO Jane Sun Jie and Grab chief financial officer Peter Oey will discuss innovation, expansion and resilience in serving Asian consumers.
XPeng (9868) vice chairman Brian Gu Hongdi and Automobility founder Bill Russo will share insights into the mainland electric vehicle market.
Other speakers include BlackRock vice chairman Robert Fairbairn, former Finnish prime minister Sanna Marin and former director of the United States National Economic Council Lael Brainard.
Over 60 speakers and 3,000 delegates will attend the event.
