Three products from startups at the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation have won awards at the 2025 Consumer Electronics Show in the US, according to a report by Sing Tao Daily.
They include Seekr, a wearable device designed by Vidi Labs for the visually impaired and elderly, Rocket 2.0, a smart irrigation system from Full Nature Farms, and the world's smallest three-axis micro gimbal stabilizer from Vista Innotech, the sister paper of The Standard reported.
Seekr offers three fundamental functions: "text recognition," "scene recognition," and "distance detection."
Upon capturing a photo, Seekr integrates information across these functions and reads analysis results in Cantonese, Mandarin, or English.
It also offers a function that can analyze videos recorded. Once the device is charged, it can last for four hours.
Agriculture technology startup Full Nature Farms' Rocket 2.0 smart irrigation platform is a system that uses data and artificial intelligence to reduce water costs, energy consumption and improve crop yields. It can deliver precise, automated irrigation control on a schedule by using sensors and AI to measure crop yield, soil health, and climate as well as weather forecasts.
Vista Innotech's 3-axis MGS stood out among competitors such as Samsung's All Lenses on Prism and Nikon's Z6III for its quality and technological advancements.
Chief executive Edward Mak said: "We are proud to be the first company from Greater China to receive the CES Innovation Award in the image category. This recognition affirms our commitment to technological innovation and excellence."
The three firms were part of delegation led by Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation to the event in Las Vegas.
