Wheelock Properties sold 1,188 new homes in the first six months of the year and plans to launch at least three projects in the second half, as the primary market maintains momentum.
The sales of flats and car-parking spaces enabled the developer to cash in more than HK$13.07 billion in total, according to Wheelock Properties managing director Ricky Wong Kwong-yiu.
The major contributors were Seasons Place and Park Seasons, Phase 12A and 12B of Lohas Park in Tseung Kwan O, where Wheelock cooperated with MTR Corporation (0066). Both projects recorded 773 deals and brought in a turnover of more than HK$4.87 billion.
For the second half of the year, Wong said Wheelock may sell three to five projects, such as phase one of 19 Shing Fung Road in Kai Tak, 1 Plantation on The Peak, and phase six of The Southside in Wong Chuk Hang.
Meanwhile, in the primary market, Tai Hung Fai Enterprise's Des Voeux W Residence in Sai Ying Pun sold 65 out of 81 flats in the first round of sales as of 6pm yesterday.
In Kai Tak, phase one of The Pavilia Forest opens show flats to the media today. The project, jointly developed by New World Development (0017) and Far East Consortium International (0035), uploaded a prospectus last week.
Meanwhile, Sun Hung Kai Properties (0016) said its Novo Land series in Tuen Mun has sold over 3,000 flats for a total of HK$18 billion since its launch in 2022.
In the secondary market, the 10 major housing estates tracked by Hong Kong Property Services saw the number of transactions rebound fivefold to 12 over the weekend from a week ago, amid a pause in sales at major projects. For the three-day holiday ended yesterday, a total of 13 deals were recorded.
Wheelock cashed in more than HK$13.07 billion from the sales, says
Ricky Wong.
