Wheelock Properties will put over 2,200 new flats for sale in 2024, twice as many as those sold last year.
Executive director Ricky Wong Kwong-yiu said the company plans to launch five new projects this year that will offer more than 2,200 flats.
Wong added that LP12, Phase 12 of Lohas Park in Tseung Kwan O, might be launched this quarter, in addition to a project at Spring Garden Lane in Wan Chai which provides 88 flats.
The pipeline may include 19 Shing Fund Road in Kai Tak, Phase 6 of The Southside in Wong Chuk Hang and the luxury 1 Plantation Road on The Peak.
The developer sold a total of 1,038 units last year and cashed in about HK$16.1 billion - up by over 70 percent year-on-year.
Wong believes the home prices could rebound up to 8 percent this year, benefiting from the eased home purchase stamp duty and the expected interest cuts by the US Federal Reserve.
In the secondary market, however, a unit at Taikoo Shing in Quarry Bay was reportedly sold for HK$6.48 million, or HK$12,226 per square foot.
The homeowner suffered a paper loss of HK$800,000, or 11.2 percent after holding the property for seven years.
Meanwhile, more than three-quarters of large housing estates saw prices drop last year, an index reflecting the secondary market compiled by Centaline Property Agency showed.
And 88 housing estates tracked by the Centa-City Leading Index reported an annual fall in the price per square foot in 2023, as the index lost 6.37 percent year-on-year.
