Electric vehicles and full-size pickup trucks were the two most problematic categories in terms of reliability, Consumer Reports magazine's annual reliability survey showed.
According to Australia, 1,012 Tesla Model S and Model X vehicles sold between 2017 and 2020 were recalled due to a risk that their electronic power assist steering system may experience a reduction in power on rough roads.
Tesla director James Murdoch said in court Wednesday that Musk has in the past few months identified a potential successor to head the EV giant.
Musk said Wednesday he expects to reduce his time at Twitter and eventually find a new leader to run the social media company, adding that he hopes to complete an organizational restructuring this week.
That came after former chief executive Jack Dorsey said he will not accept the job.
Musk also sent a companywide email to remaining staff, demanding they commit to working "long hours at high intensity" or receive "three months of severance," if they did not consent to these conditions.
