Hang Seng Index dips at noon on Tuesday

Hong Kong stocks closed lower by noon on Tuesday.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index dipped 58 points, or  0.2 percent to 24,859 at noon.

The half-day market turnover was HK$96.2 billion. 

The Hang Seng Tech Index was up by 0.8 percent to 4,350 points at noon. 

In the mainland, the Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite Index was down by 0.1 to 3,881 points and the Shenzhen Stock Exchange Component Index was flat at 13,389 points at the midday close.
