CATL, CMOC, Laopu Gold to be added to Hang Seng Index, compiler says

Contemporary Amperex Technology (3750), CMOC (3993), and Laopu Gold (6181) will be part of the Hang Seng Index family from March 9, the index compiler said.

CATL will have a weighting of 0.39 percent in the benchmark index, while CMOC’s weighting will be 0.51 percent. The figure for Laopu will be 0.29 percent, Hang Seng Indexes Company said in the quarterly review.

Zhongsheng Group (0881) will be removed from the benchmark index on the same day, and the number of blue chip stocks will increase from 88 to 90 following the changes.

The company will include KE Holdings (2423) and Horizon Robotics (9660) to the Hang Seng China Enterprises Index, and delete China Resources Beer (0291) and China Mengniu Dairy (2319) from the index.

The total number of constituents remains unchanged at 50.

There is no change to the Hang Seng Tech Index.
