Hang Seng Index inches up in early trading on Thursday

The Hang Seng Index rose in the early morning trading session on Thursday.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index inched up by 24 points, or 0.1 percent to 26,609 points. 

The Hang Seng Tech Index dropped by 0.2 percent to around 5,736 points.
