Chinese energy-drink maker Eastroc Beverage has begun gauging investor interest for a secondary listing in Hong Kong that may raise more than US$1 billion (HK$7.8 billion), Bloomberg News reported, citing people familiar with the matter.

Eastroc, which is already listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, is conducting so-called investor-education meetings and could launch share sales as early as this month, according to the report.
Discussions are ongoing, and the timing and size of the deal may change, the people said.
