Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank has extended its lease at Swire Properties’ (1972) Pacific Place to 2034, involving about 85,000 square feet of Grade-A office space.
The lease includes four floors of Two Pacific Place, which serves as the bank’s regional headquarters in Asia Pacific, Swire Properties said in a statement on Monday.
The renewal marks a milestone in the strategic partnership between the two companies that has lasted for more than two decades, the statement said, adding that it is also a vote of confidence in Hong Kong’s status as a global financial center.
The renewed office not only strengthens the “foundation for the next decade, it also demonstrates our commitment to the city’s long-term development,” said Jean-Francois Deroche, Senior Regional Officer for Asia-Pacific at Crédit Agricole CIB.
Swire Properties chief executive Tim Blackburn said the group is delighted to renew the longstanding partnership with the lender, reaffirming Pacific Place’s status as a world-class business address in Hong Kong.
