China’s 15th Five-Year Plan (2026–2030) sets out main goals for the country's economic and social development, including notable progress in high-quality development, economic growth maintained within a “reasonable range” and a “significant rise” in the household consumption rate.
Other key objectives include major advances in technological self-reliance, new breakthroughs in comprehensive reform, greater social and cultural progress, continuous improvement in people’s living standards, major progress in building a “Beautiful China,” and a stronger national security framework, said Han Wenxiu, executive deputy director of the Office of the Central Financial and Economic Affairs Commission and director of the Office of the Central Rural Work Leading Group.
