Hong Kong stocks open slightly lower; tech shares mixed

Hong Kong stocks opened slightly lower on Thursday, with the benchmark Hang Seng Index down 20 points, or 0.08 percent, at 25,890.

Market turnover was HK$4.4 billion.

The Hang Seng China Enterprises Index slipped 5 points, or 0.07 percent, to 9,245, while the Hang Seng Tech Index edged down 0.14 percent to 6,066.

Tech shares were mixed, with Tencent (0700) down 0.15 percent and Meituan (3690) falling 0.85 percent, while Alibaba (9988) gained 0.61 percent and Xiaomi rose 0.36 percent.
