The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 45.9 points, or 0.10 percent, at the open to 45,590.96. The S&P 500 fell 12.6 points, or 0.19 percent, at the open to 6,489.28, while the Nasdaq Composite dropped 74.8 points, or 0.34 percent, to 21,630.326 at the opening bell.
