Big JJ Seafood Hotpot to close in Central, owner seeks new venue

Big JJ Seafood Hotpot, a popular restaurant in Central, has announced on its social media it will not renew its lease due to ongoing structural issues at its current location. 
Owner Peter cited problems such as water leakage, crumbling concrete, and poor air conditioning, which have led to customer complaints. 
The restaurant, known as one of Hong Kong’s hardest-to-book hotpot spots, opened in 2020. 
Peter is currently searching for a new venue, ideally within Central, though he expressed regret over leaving the area due to the high number of vacant spaces nearby.
