The global economy expected to recover by 5 percent in 2021 after contracting by 3.9 percent last year.
China's economy is predicted to grow by 2.1 percent in 2020 before accelerating by 8.2 percent in2021, said Wong Pak Ling, head of Investment Strategy and Portfolio Advisory at Citibank.
Driven by the base effect, China's growth in the first quarter is estimated to reach 16 percent.
The bank predicts Hong Kong's economy to contract by 3.4 percent in 2020, and to grow by 5.1 percent this year.
As for commodities, the bank forecasts that gold will move to US$2,100 per ounce in the next six to nine months.
