The Institute of Big Data Governance has launched Big Data Governance Principles 2.0, increasing from 4 principles to 5, and with most content enriched.
A data retention and security control principle was newly added. It protects both corporates and customers by sharing the ethical standards in data processing activities, particularly in processing personal data. Also, it incorporates data retention and security requirements. Cross-border data transfer assessment criteria and control measures are strengthened.
The principles recommend more continuous improvement such as assessing the regulatory, economic and technological changes.
