Titled Living Rooms, the installation is a fantastical tale of imagined objects from the Parisian maison that are brought to life in six tableaus. Objects from the latest collections are intertwined to create kinetic sculptures inspired by the personality of the maison's original store at 24 Faubourg.
The window of the woman's universe, for example, features a rocking horse atop of which Chinneck has masterfully balanced objects like books, clocks and even an umbrella, resulting in a magnificent towering sculpture.
There is also a traditional bookcase with a revolving center, which brings to mind a secret door hidden within a bookcase at 24 Faubourg.
Inspired by Chinneck's window displays? You can walk into the store and pick up objects to decorate your own living room.
The Hermes objects collection for autumn/winter 2024 is now available and includes home accessories - ranging from handcrafted wooden trunks and traditional games to soft furnishings and tableware.
