The Hong Kong Jockey Club’s 2026/27 racing season will kick off on September 6 at Sha Tin Racecourse, with Cantopop superstar Aaron Kwok Fu-shing performing the club’s official annual theme song for the first time.
Kwok, appointed as the Hong Kong Jockey Club’s Year of the Horse Ambassador, will perform “Go Go Go” — the theme song that has garnered more than 22.7 million views across online platforms since its release on August 10.
“I’ve always had a deep connection with horses,” Kwok said. “As a horse owner and someone who loves horses, I’m honored to serve as the Year of the Horse Ambassador. Being able to release a musical work as ambassador, and even perform it live, I feel very honored and passionate.”
Gates at Sha Tin Racecourse will open at 10.30am on September 6, with the official opening ceremony set for 11.15am.
The new season runs through July 14, 2027, encompassing a total of 88 race meetings, with the first race scheduled for 12.30pm on the same day.
