Taiwanese-American singer Wang Leehom has applied for a divorce, ending his eight-year marriage with Lee Jinglei.

"In these years of marriage, there are many aspects which I did not do well enough. I am very sorry,” he wrote on Weibo on Wednesday, confirming the divorce.
"Now we have different ideas and plans for our future lives, so we decided to go separate ways.” wrote.
The 45-year-old singer said that he and Lee won't respond to media anymore as they want to keep it private.
"Although we have filed a divorce, we will always stay as family members," Wang said regarding their two daughters and a son. He did not elaborate on who will get the children's custody.
The two divorced at the end of November, according to Taiwanese media.
The music genius holds two honorary doctoral degrees from Williams College and Berklee College of Music. He has released 17 solo studio albums and contributed to dozens more.
Over the course of his career, Leehom has earned 19 nominations and 4 wins at Taiwan’s Golden Melody Awards and 11 wins at the Chinese Music Awards, in the categories of Best Pop Album, Best Producer, Song of the Year, Best Arrangement, and Best Male Artist.
He has toured over 100 cities worldwide, performing to sold-out venues across mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, the UK, and the US.
