The four-day Easter holiday commenced today, resulting in considerable traffic at major ports as a significant number of travelers headed north during the morning hours.

The Immigration Department (ImmD) reported that as of 10am, there have been over 310,000 recorded passenger trips, comprising more than 254,000 outbound passengers.
In terms of outbound traffic, Lo Wu Port recorded the highest number of passengers, exceeding 55,000, closely followed by the Lok Ma Chau Spur Line control point, which accommodated more than 54,000 passengers.
The Shenzhen Bay and Lo Wu ports experienced high volumes of individuals, including numerous tour groups traveling northward.
For inbound arrivals, Hong Kong International Airport registered the highest figures, with over 12,000 passengers arriving this morning, while Lo Wu Port reported more than 7,000 inbound passengers.
MTR announced adjustments to train services on the East Rail Line due to the substantial crowds at the Lok Ma Chau Spur Line control points during this peak travel period. Certain northbound trains departing from Admiralty will terminate at Tai Po Market station, necessitating an interchange for passengers during their journey.
Additionally, significant traffic congestion has been observed at both the Shenzhen Bay Bridge and the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge.
